A compliance plate certifies that your gas connection complies with the Dangerous Goods Regulations and relevant standards, and should be mounted behind your gas cylinders.

The compliance plate should list the gasfitting certificate number corresponding to the gas fitter who installed your connection, the date they tested the connection, and the gas compliance plate number, which uniquely identifies your gas connection as a certified connection. The compliance plate number will usually be located at the top of the plate.
